Regulation (UE) No 910/204 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 July 2014 on electronic identification and trust services for electronic identification and trust services for electronic transactions in the internal market (eIDAS Regulation), establishes a common legal framework for qualified trust service providers for the issuance of qualified electronic certificates.

The ANF Certification Authority Declaration of Certification Practices (DPC) details the general rules and conditions of ANF Certification Authority's certification services in relation to the management of the creation and signature verification data of electronic certificates; the conditions applicable to the request, issue, use, revocation and expiry of certificates; the technical and organisational security measures; the information mechanisms on the validity of the certificates; and in particular the verification processes to which the data provided by certificate applicants are subjected, in order to determine their veracity.

In addition to the general characteristics established in the CPS, the Certification Polices (PC) contain the particular rules to which the use of each type of certificate issued by the ANF Certification Authority.
